If my art transformed into a movie it would be classified as a dark comedy. Using humor and visual metaphors, the work asks questions about morality and mortality. Blending the representational with the fantastical; I attempt to reward the viewer with approachable narratives that ask for an opinionated interpretation.
Many themes arise throughout the bodies of work. One prominent theme I regularly return to is masculinity. These works address traditional forms of masculinity as I understand them. Doing so I wrestle with the issues and contradictions that arise within these notions of masculinity and the role that they play in contemporary society.
